Hello again!
This week I wanted to focus on something you could take on vacation with you.
Several years ago, my daughters were fiends for autographs. They went through different fazes of autographs: getting the most autographs possible, getting the most obscure characters possible, finding their favorite characters…..and the list goes on.
I would take those autographs and pictures and scrapbook them, usually in a stand-alone album. Over the years, I decided that instead of purchasing an autograph book (at $5 or $10 a piece), I would start bringing my own paper for characters to sign. What we ended up finding is simple works the best. We would buy a package of unlined large size notecards, a black permanent marker, and a clipboard.
We would bring those in the backpack into the parks and get autographs in that fashion.
When we got home, I would print my pictures and sort the autographs with the photos and scrapbook them later.
What I wanted to do for this craft project is create my own autograph book that I wouldn’t necessarily need to scrapbook later.
Here are the steps and supplies:

Blank index cards (we did not use all 100!)
Washi Tape
Crop-a-dile
Ribbon
Adhesive
Embellishments
Scissors
Hinged Ring (to keep it all together!)
I ended up doing around 25-30 pages. I took that number of index cards and punched a hole in the corner using my Crop-A-Dile
In order to get the holes to line up, I punched a hole in one index card, then laid that on top of an unpunched index card, then put it in the Crop-A-Dile to punch the other holes.
I put them on the ring, just to keep them in one place. (I tend to be a messy scrapbooker!)
Now the fun starts! I made my cover first. I have so many Disney themed stickers and embellishments, this is a nice way to go through some of my stash.
All the pages are simple, I just added stickers, washi tape, embellishments, etc. to each page. I will just show the pictures below so you can see, but there was nothing complicated, so I am not including instructions.

The final step was to add the ribbon to the ring to finish it off. Choose several pieces of ribbon and tie onto the ring. Be sure to leave enough space so you can turn the pages easily:

Now the next time we go to Disney, we have a ready-made album. Once we get home, I will print pictures and place the pictures on the back side of each page! Easy!
