Disney Fusion 5

Our family blog about Disney–Travel, Crafts, Art, and More

It’s been a while! Things have been crazy with COVID, which I am sure you are feeling as well. Things are changing, I won’t say they are getting back to normal since I think normal is not what it used to be. I’ve been working on a lot of things at home to stay busy, but I will be glad to start venturing out into the world again. Safely, of course.

I did end up stopping at Dollar General the other day and picked up some picture holders for $1 each. I decided they would be perfect for another project.

Here are the supplies:

Supplies:
Picture holders
Paint – I used Dixie Belle Midnight Sky
Paintbrush
E6000
Washi Tape – two different styles
Mickey and Minnie plastic figures

The first thing I did was to take off the wire portions for the pictures.

Next, I painted all but the front of the blocks in black:

Just waiting for paint to dry!

I ended up with two coats before the coverage was where I wanted it.

Next I took the washi tape and wrapped it around the edges of each block. I chose two different patterns for this step.

To finish off the decorative portion of this project I took my Mickey and Minnie characters and glued them to the top of the block using the E6000 adhesive.

My final step was to choose two photos and adhere them to the blocks.

I’m very pleased with the way they turned out. My plan is to have them sitting on my desk at work…..once I go back in!

Have a magical day!
